Excellent school! I am so happy that I chose Georgian over other colleges.
Best Canadian College for an international student..
I love Georgian College so much especially the study areas in building M, the staff is super friendly and always helpful.
I couldn’t be more happier attending this College. The professors are incredibly supportive and tries to help you as much as possible. Definitely considering doing another program when I’m done with my current program!
Best support system for international students, great facilities to make students ease their college journey. Updates available on emergency situations. Best resource and professors. Good opportunities provided for students to earn, learn, dine and have fun. The best experience of my life.
An excellent institution of higher learning, specializing in technical trades. They have good supports for students to enable them to reach their goals.
Originally attended Georgian in 2010 for Photography. I found the program was a bore and the Profs made no bones about reminding us that we don’t need a diploma to be a photographer since clients will never ask for one. Felt the program was a waste of money and dropped out. Returned in 2012 for General Business Co-op and graduated. I really liked the program overall. It prepared me for a great career thanks to the co-op jobs and I overall really enjoyed the experience here.
I am a student from India Punjab. I love my program the teachers are amazing and I have met great friends !!! I study pharm tech.
It was an amazing school and the Barrie location could not have been better. I was impressed by not only the wealth of knowledge the professors had, but their accommodation for students with disabilities. As well out of the university and other college I attended, Georgian is at the top for organization in regards to course outline and syllabus. You know everything you need and the weight of everything you will undergo before you walk into your first class.
Friendly staff with excellent teachers. Many programs to choose.
Best college ever! Awesome staff, awesome services, and good education! Love it <3
Beautiful school, such friendly staff and students! I love it here 🙂
Beautiful! What an amazing place to be! Very friendly environment.
this place is a great place to learn, and network for your future. in my first semester i met lots of supportive staff and great new friends. if your thinking of coming here to learn you will not be too disappointed !

Love it it’s like another home to me learned a lot and meet a lot of great people
I have taken legal office administration and police foundations as well as Laurentian at Georgian. The staff have across the board always been great.
I went to Barrie campus for Laurentian and for legal admin, and took policing at Orillia campus. The programming was tailored to the needs of the profession and I was able to have some of the best in their field. Police foundations offered me ample opportunity to connect with people at the OPP detachments on many occasions. I also was able to receive several letter of recognition for my efforts and contributions. The staff really made it their priority to assist students and went above and beyond for myself and several colleagues. The fitness teachers in policing were especially helpful even in their off time to try and help students achieve personal goals.
The only thing I think needing to be changed is update the gym (not the fitness center) in Orillia. Aside from that I didn’t really come into any issues. I like the deferral fee set up now compared to before when it was 265 before the pending semester. Not having to pay twice is nice. And not paying 330 in deferral costs is nice, rather now so much more is going to paying down tuition. Not to mention it’s easier to save the money over summer than to try and save over the summer and then again by November (with Christmas and reduced hours from being in school it helped) not to mention you have less issues trying to register for the winter term because you’re already have a seat saved for you.
Awesome profs! Great people are here, but the school only cares about your money, really doesn’t help students solve major issues. Do not recommend!
Excellent school. This is my 2nd time around. I received a PSW certificate and now I am working on my Practical Nursing Diploma. The teachers and staff want you to succeed. Thank you Georgian.
I took a tour at this college, and in all complete and transparent honesty that this college has been my favourite and always will be. Such an inviting and welcoming student body. Competitive and educated but always polite. And the campus is just beautiful.
Georgian College has a nice campus at Barrie, a beautiful building indeed and as a private college, I honestly think it’s a good return on investment as an undergraduate.
Georgian College provides a very welcoming environment from the first day you arrive. The community is very friendly and diverse so you are sure to fit in. The academics are very tough but the professors are very prepared and always provide proper study aids and office hours in order to assist you. Overall I would recommend Georgian College to anybody who is interested in a well-rounded college experience.
I enjoyed the diversity of Georgian College as well as the beautiful campus. There are lots of things to do here and students from all over the world attending Georgian. There are plenty of organizations and student clubs in which you can be involved to make new friends.
I have had a fantastic experience at Georgian College, Barrie Campus. Professors here are brilliant, the atmosphere is quaint and home-like, and I’ve never felt unsafe on campus. I would definitely recommend Georgian for your college experience!
Georgian College is the place to be for pre-professional students who still want to have fun. Campus life embodies the “work hard play hard” mentality, asking hard work of its students and rewarding them with countless opportunities for fun. And, students get the opportunity of learning under professionals who are among the best in their fields, forming relationships and experiences that will define their careers. An all around wonderful place to be, Georgian College is the place to come.
I left Barrie campus in 1985 with a Resort and Hotel Operation Diploma and Certificate in Chef training in adult training program. Wonderful place to study wish I could go back for a visit. Presently, I have a small diner in Penang, Malaysia.
I’m disappointed in Georgian, & it’s lack of care. I enjoyed my time and friendly environment, but the education was just subpar.
I recently attended Georgian college at the Orillia campus and had such high hopes upon starting my program(police foundations). After completing a semester (and ultimately wasting almost $4000) I am extremely disappointed with not only the program but the school itself. Some of the staff are very unprofessional and unfair upon grading major assignments, unhelpful with important issues, are unable to finish teaching lessons that we are supposed to know and ultimately try to discourage you. Not to mention there is a money grab at any chance possible. I recently applied to another school and requested a transcript from Georgian College(which as most of you know cost money), but because I am leaving a semester early I must pay them to have it become “official”.
I have left Georgian College with an incomplete education and a selection of courses that ultimately had nothing to do with my program. I am not saying all programs have this problem but please make sure you do your research about the program so you don’t end up having to switch schools in order to get a proper education.
